"This new law removes technical obstacles to the installation of solar systems in certain areas of New Jersey simply by recognizing that solar panels are elevated, and, as such, do not interfere with the absorption of stormwater. By excluding the surface area of the panels from the 'impervious surface' calculation, it prudently increases the number of locations solar systems can be installed and continues to solidify New Jersey as a leader in renewable and solar policy."
